RIGHT “PERSPECTIVE” OF BOGUCHANSKAYA HPP

Rakurs Group General Manager took part in solemn ceremony of start-up of the first hydro units of Angarsk hydroelectric series new plant – Boguchanskaya HPP on October 25. RF President V.V. Putin personally gave a command on October 15 for the equipment start-up.

Boguchanskaya HPP project (with power 3000 MW and annual output 17,6 billion kW) realization will allow reliable power supply of Siberian energy system consumers and will become a serious stimulus for development of all area near low Angara. The first hydro units are going to be commissioned this year, all nine units are planned to be started-up the next year. It’s a completion of the whole epoch of the Russian hydropower engineering, the plant construction was started more than 30 year ago.

Rakurs automated control system.

The project of automated control system for technological processes for Boguchanskaya HPP has been designed by Rakurs Group – one of the leaders in the sphere of technological processes automation for hydropower engineering objects. Since 2010 till the current moment Rakurs Group has been designing and supplying the equipment of software and hardware complexes for Boguchanskaya HPP automated control system of unit and station level.

Rakurs equipment will be installed at all 9 hydro units of Boguchanskaya HPP.

Rakurs participation in such a serious project as Boguchanskaya HPP construction is quite natural. Rakurs has an impressive experience of work with industrial objects of various complexity and stable financial condition. So its affiliated company Rakurs-engineering being a resident of Neudorf Special Economic Zone in St. Petersburg has been realizing a project of designing and development of software and hardware complexes production for Russian power engineering objects.

Rakurs’ investments to SEZ projects are planned to be around 320 million rubles. More than a half has been already invested: engineering centre has been commissioned and acting in Neudorf administrative building, the company’s own scientific and technical centre has been constructed. The object commissioning is planned by July 2013.

Rakurs Group specialists have been currently performing adjustment and testing of unit and station level equipment. Testing of the first three units has been successfully completed.

Boguchanskaya HPP will be equipped with software and hardware complex of group governor of active and reactive power designed for automated control of HPP units active power in normal and post emergency modes, as well as for plant’s buses voltage automated maintenance and reactive power generating control.

This PTC implementation will allow realization of a plant or its parts power control according to load schedule.
