ELECTRIC PART OF REGULATING SYSTEM HAS BEEN INSTALLED AT VOLZHSKAYA TPP-2

Regulating system for Volzhskaya TPP-2 turbo unit No.2 has been commissioned in September after overhaul and modernization, as well as steam turbine with capacity 140MW.

Modernization has been realized by means of replacement of hydraulic connection with control valves unit with electric drive. Electric part of regulating and protecting system supplied by Rakurs Group controls output electric power, steam pressure. Overspeed protection heads have been replaced with 5-channel electric disengaging clutch based on electric rotation frequency measuring instruments FMD designed by Rakurs-engineering. Implementation of electrohydraulic regulating and protecting system is one of the key steps in automation of steam turbines technological process.

This project is the first joint project of URALENERGOREMONT OJSC and SPC “Rakurs” Ltd. 12 similar systems have been already implemented due to cooperation between SPC “Rakurs” Ltd. and Ural Turbine Works CJSC. Electric part of regulating and protecting system is one of serial innovative products of Rakurs-engineering Ltd., a part of Rakurs Group, acting in the territory of Neudorf Special Economic Zone.

Lower level elements – CCD FMD frequency measuring instruments – are up-to-dated innovative products of Rakurs-engineering manufactured in OEZ territory.

They are designed for measuring of impulses frequency, rotation speed and rotation acceleration calculation, emergency, warning and other signals generation basing on processing of measured and calculated parameters and obtained information transfer to upper level computer.
