Automated control system for turbo unit of Arkhangelskiy PPM thermal power plant-1

SPC Rakurs Ltd. has successfully completed start-up and adjustment at Arkhangelskiy PPM within the bounds of project – automated control system for thermal power plant-1 turbo unit No. 3, Arkhangelskiy PPM OJSC.

Manufacturing and supply of automated control system is one of the contract stages for modernization of automated control system SCADA level for thermal power plant-1 turbo unit No. 3.

The automated control system has been designed on the base of Siemens STEP 7 system. The centre component of the automated control system structure is project composed basic software and hardware complex Apogey based on SIMATIC S7-400complex automation hardware (Siemens).

The main functions of the automated control system include the following:

· Technological control of turbo-unit No.3 of thermal power plant-1, type ПТ12/15-90/15/7M;

· Turbo-unit technological protection;

· Remote control and vizualisation of technological processes;

· Current archiving.

SPC Rakurs specialists performed the works (contract supervision) on the old automated control system exchange and adjustment a new one in December, 2011 after Customer’s completing of all necessary preparatory works at the site. The system was assembled at the site and adjusted. The turbine was successfully started up on Saturday, December 24.

SPC Rakurs Ltd. has been in cooperation with Arkhangelsk PPM for more than 10 years realizing many projects during this period.
