Group governor of active and reactive power for Boguchanskaya HPP has been tested

Group governor of active and reactive power for Boguchanskaya HPP manufactured by SPC “Rakurs” has been successfully tested at JSC “NIIPT”. The testing has been conducted in accordance with the agreed by the Customer and System Operator testing program on a digit-analog-physical complex of Unified Siberian Power System specially prepared for the testing and sufficiently representing secure and possible emergency working conditions of Boguchanskaya HPP.

Experts of the Power Plant, System Operator and governor’s designer “Rakurs-engineering” have taken part in the testing.

The main function of the governor is control of unit’s group mode of operation, maintenance of voltage for each line of HPP’s work with limitation of power interchange through autotransformers.

As a result of the testing the group governor of active and reactive power has been concluded to meet the requirements of the technical specification, working documentation and has been recommended for implementation at Boguchanskaya HPP.
