Remote control of hydroelectric unit was tested on Volkhovskaya HPP

Testing of the remote monitoring and control of Volkhovskaya HPP hydroelectric unit No.1 was hold from the central control room of JSC “TGC-1” with the participation of SPC Rakurs specialists. Control System by SPC Rakurs for hydroelectric unit was made and installed based on software and hardware complex “Apogey”.

Testing process included two stages:

1) pretest;

2) test run of control modes for hydroelectric unit No.1 from the central control room of TGC-1.

Test results showed that remote interaction between Volkhovskaya HPP Control System and TGC-1 Control Room System gave an opportunity to control outlying hydroelectric unit on an automatic mode, in spite of big quantity of transfer members and great information volume, with proper level of safety in case of using Internetworking Security Policy

For Branch of TGC-1 - Volkhovskaya HPP-6 SPC Rakurs completed the project of  SCADA level and Control System for one hydroelectric unit. Control System was set on operation in 2009.

SPC Rakurs has also realised several projects for other Branches of TGC-1, JSC: Nijnesvirskaya HPP-9, Lesogorskaya HPP and Svetogorskaya HPP (Cascade of Vuoksinskie HPPs), Vasileostrovskaya Power Plant-7, Vyborgskaya Power Plant-17, Avtovskaya Power Plant-15, Pervomayskaya Power Plant-14, South Power Plant-22, North Power Plant-21.
