METSO AND RAKURS – MEETING OF PARTNERS

Representatives of Metso Finnish company headed by managing partner and automation director Harry Happonen have visited Rakurs Group with the aim of cooperation broadening.

The meeting has summarized results of performed joint work and definite steps for further business relationships development including new directions of activity.

The delegation has visited Rakurs-engineering innovations centre to be constructed in Neudorf Special Economic Zone highly appreciating Rakurs Group’s growth rates.

Partnership of Rakurs as one of main enterprises-system integrators in the sphere of industrial automation of Russia energy sector, and Metso as one of leading enterprises-automated control systems suppliers in the world with large work experience in Russia, began in 2009 by signing a cooperation agreement. Main partnership aim was presentation of all potential advantages of up-to-dated automated control systems and theirs effective implementation to common customers:

· Power plants economic performances improvement in conditions of market economy;

· Increase of production process efficiency;

· Improvement and stabilization of generated electricity quality;

· Manufacturing expenses decrease;

· More effective control of technological processes modes of operation changes and activation.

One of joint projects performed by Rakurs Group is a complex project of automated control system designing for Gusinoozersk SDPP power generating unit No.4 (210 MW). Central core of automated control system PTC structure is project-composed basic hardware and software complex “Apogey” based on MetsoDNA CR complex automation hardware.
