One year has passed since the beginning of “Rakurs-engineering” building in SEZ “St. Petersburg”

Exactly one year ago on 18 November “Rakurs-engineering” scientific and technical centre has been started at the site Neudorf of SEZ “St. Petersburg” – a solemn ceremony of capsule laying in the foundation of the future building took place. “Rakurs-engineering” having become a pioneer among SEZ residents has been still keeping a leader’s role on the project’s realization rate today.

The company has been executed building plans of the year: the construction of “Rakurs-engineering” building solid frame has been finishing, it’s planned to end an outward system laying (water supply system, sewerage system, heating main) by the end of 2011. The building commissioning and employees moving to a new office is planned for September, 2012.

According to the Director General of “Rakurs-engineering” Ltd. Leonid Chernigov a new building construction and moving to SEZ is the first-priority task in the company development strategy for the nearest year: “Our plans for construction and moving to SEZ are quite optimistic: we have been keeping the building’s terms and making considerate investments into the project realization. We shall admit it’s not easy to be the first ones, but the main difficulties of entering the practical stage of the project realization have been passed today and we are sure in the future”.

At the territory of business administrative centre Neudorf it has been already started designing and manufacturing of scientific and technical products – special measuring instruments to be used in own projects of automation. The devices are adapted to the operation in industrial conditions and solve special tasks (measurement of signals from thermal transducers of resistance, thermocouples, discrete input/output, analog input/output, frequency, indication measurement and others). On the whole there are more than 30 different modifications. A number of significant automation project for Russia and CIS countries energy sector has been realized in 2011 according to the agreement on technology development activity: Yugo-Zapadnaya heat station, Boguchanskaya HPP, Zagorskaya PSHPP, Kambaratinskaya HPP-2, Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP, etc.

A number of “Rakurs-engineering” employees is 27 persons. Proceeds from sales of products manufactured at the territory of SEZ for one year has been 25 million rubles.

Having been constructed “Rakurs-engineering” scientific and technical centre will have the most updated infrastructure for designing and manufacturing of integrated control systems. It will contain research and development base for innovative products creation, testing base for these products improving and upgrading as well as production facilities for designing and manufacturing of software and hardware complexes for power industry objects.

The success of Special Economic Zone project’s realization directly depends on effective activity of all interested parties: residents, SEZ management and the City Administration, Leonid Chernigov notes: “Close cooperation with the management of Special Economic Zone in St. Petersburg, theirs maximum attention to our suggestions in the project realization process has let us obtain positive results by today”.

According to the head of St. Petersburg branch of “SEZ” JSC Oleg Melnikov, St. Petersburg special economic zone is a key element of strategy of regional economy innovative sector development. “Four years ago it was just an empty field here. Today we can see high-technology productions creating and developing at the SEZ territory”, - Oleg Melnikov says. “Rakurs-engineering” is a successful example of project’s realization in SEZ for other investors”. By his words “Rakurs-engineering” is a pioneer of power efficient cluster, one of priority clusters of St. Petersburg SEZ.
