Scientific-Production Company (SPC) “Rakurs” made the shipment of equipment control system for hydraulic unit number 4 for the Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP (Kazakhstan).
The subject of a contract of AES power generation company with SPC “Rakurs" is the development of control system and alarm single block of Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP, which is designed to control a single unit and provides the following functions:
• automatic idling starting of hydroelectric unit, output from the subsynchronous speed of rotation and stabilization of the speed of rotation at work;
• synchronization of the hydroelectric unit for inclusion in network;
• control of the load hydroelectric unit;
• transferring of unit in synchronous compensator mode and reverse in generator mode;
• normal stop of hydroelectric unit;
• emergency automatic stop of unit under the action of electrical and hydromechanical protection;
• hydromechanical protection of unit;
• electric generator protection;
• warning and alarm;
• hydroelectric unit thermal control;
• control of electrical parameters;
• supervisory control and data;
• control of hydroelectric unit auxiliary equipment.
The purpose of creating hydroelectric unit control system of Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP is the modernization of the existing physical and moral outdated control system as well as increasing system reliability and centralized control of the equipment and the change of process parameters with the operator's station HPP.
